Freelance Social Media Manager
East Pacific Trade is looking for a freelance Social Media Manager to help shape and evolve our digital presence. We’re looking for someone who understands culture, pacing, and the value of thoughtful communication, and who can translate our visual universe into meaningful conversations online.
What you’ll do
• Write clear, intentional captions that reflect our brand perspective and visual language.
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across our core platforms.
• Manage day-to-day interactions: respond to messages, comments, and community inquiries.
• Support follower growth through consistent storytelling, engagement, and discovery.
• Publish and promote EPT Radio episodes and our editorial features across channels.
• Update website content.
• Develop our presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Soundcloud.
• Craft and curate content: images, short videos, graphics in collaboration with our graphic designer.
• Provide basic video management/editing when needed (video skills are a plus).
• Track performance and interpret analytics to guide future content.
• Work alongside our paid marketing specialist for deeper campaign analysis and optimization.
• Maintain coherence in visual identity, tone, and pacing across all channels.
What you bring
• Experience managing social platforms for brands in design, culture, fashion, or lifestyle.
• Strong writing skills: precise, thoughtful, and aligned with a minimal, contemporary aesthetic.
• A visual sensibility and understanding of how imagery and words work together.
• Familiarity with social content tools (Canva, Adobe, or similar).
• Understanding of analytics and ability to translate insights into direction.
• Ease working with cross-functional partners (graphic design, paid marketing).
• Autonomy, reliability, and comfort working fully remotely.
• Ability to work within CET time zone hours.
